1. PHIZ LEGAL INFORMATION
Our Privacy Policy clarifies our data processing practices, including the types of data we process to provide our Services.
For instance, the Policy outlines what information is collected about the User and how this may impact them. Additionally, it explains the steps we take to safeguard your privacy, such as developing our Services in a way that does not store sent messages and allowing you to choose with whom you communicate through our Services. We are part of the Phiz Companies group, along with other affiliated companies.
This Policy provides further information on how we share data within this network of companies.
This Privacy Policy applies to all of our Services, unless otherwise specified.

Improve interaction with businesses
Many organizations use Phiz to communicate with their clients and consumers. We collaborate with companies that rely on PHIZ APP LTDA or other third parties to help store and manage their communications with you on Phiz.
Easier Connectivity. As a member of the Phiz Companies, Phiz cooperates with them to provide experiences and integrations with the parent company’s apps and products.
Information we collect
Phiz needs to obtain or collect certain information to operate, enhance, understand, personalize, and promote our Services, as well as provide support for them, including when you install, access, or use them.
The types of data we receive and collect depend on how you use our Services. To offer them, we require certain information; without it, we cannot provide these Services. For example, you must provide your phone number to create an account and use our features.
Our Services have optional features that may require additional data collection. When applicable, you will be notified about this. If you choose not to provide the necessary data, the feature will not be available. For instance, if you don't allow location data collection, you won’t be able to share your location with your contacts. Permissions can be managed in the Settings of Android and iOS devices.
Data Provided by You:
Account Data: You must provide your phone number and basic information (such as a profile name of your choice) to create an account on Phiz. Without this data, you will not be able to create an account or use our Services. Additional information, such as a profile picture and status message, may be added to your account.
Messages: We do not store your messages during the provision of our Services. Instead, they are stored on your device and are typically not stored on our servers. Once we deliver your messages, they are deleted from our servers. In some cases, we may store your messages during the delivery process, such as undelivered messages and media forwarding.
Contacts: You may use the contact upload feature to provide us, if allowed by applicable laws, with the phone numbers from your contact list, including both users of our Services and other contacts.
Status Data: If you wish to add a status to your account, you can choose to share this information with us.
Transaction and Payment Data: If you use payment services, our purchase features, or other financial transactions, we will process additional information about you, such as payment details and transaction data.
Support and Other Customer Communications: When you contact support or communicate with us in any other way, you may provide data related to your use of our Services, such as copies of your messages, information you deem helpful, and a method of contact (such as an email address).
Data Collected Automatically:
Usage and Log Data: We collect data about your activity on our Services, such as service, diagnostic, and performance data. This collection includes information about your activities (including how you use our Services, your service settings, how you interact with others using our Services — including when you interact with the Company — and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities and interactions), log files, diagnostic data, error reports, site and performance logs. The collection also includes information about when you registered to use our Services; features you use, such as groups, status, calls, or messages (including group name, group photo, and group description), business and payment features; profile picture; messages; when you are online; when you last used our Services (“last seen”); and the last time you updated your status.
Connections and Device Information: We collect certain connection and device information when you install, access, or use our Services. This collection includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, battery level, signal strength, app version, browser information, mobile network, contact information (including phone number, mobile or internet service provider), language and time zone, IP address, device operational information, and identifiers (including unique identifiers for Phiz Company products associated with the device or account).
Location Information:
With your permission, we collect and use precise location information when you choose to use location-related features, such as when you opt to share your location with your contacts or view nearby places or locations shared with you by others.
In your device or app settings, you can find settings related to certain location data, such as location sharing. Even if you do not use our location-related features, we use IP addresses and other information, such as area codes for phone numbers, to estimate your general location (such as city and country). We also use your location data for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes.
Cookie Usage Policy:
We use cookies to operate and provide our services, including online services, to enhance your experience, understand how our services are used, and personalize them. For example, we use cookies to deliver our online services, desktop applications, and other web-based services.
We may also use cookies to understand which articles are most popular in our Help Center and to display content related to our Services.

4. COLLECTION OF THIRD-PARTY DATA:
Data Provided by Third Parties About You: We receive information about you from third parties. These third parties may include other users who utilize our services and share their data with us, such as your name, phone number, and other data present in their contact lists. Additionally, the numbers of these users may also be obtained through their contacts. These users can also send messages and make calls to you and to groups in which you participate. It is important to note that we require these users to have legal authorization to collect, use, and share your data before providing it to us.
It is important to remember that, in general, any user can take screenshots of your conversations or messages, or record their calls and send them to Phiz, other people, or publish them on other platforms.
User Reports: Just as you can report other users, other users or third parties can also report your interactions and messages sent to them or to others in our Services. These reports may aim to address potential violations of our Terms or policies. When a report is made, we collect data from both the reporting user and the reported user. To report a user on the Phiz App, choose the “Report” option in the conversation with the user, or select the “Report” option in the “About” tab of the Third-Party Virtual Store that engages PHIZ SHOP.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION:
The information we possess is utilized to operate, provide, improve, personalize, and market our Services, as well as to offer support for them, in accordance with your choices and applicable law. Here are some of the ways we do this:
Our Services: use the information we have to operate and provide our Services, including support, completing purchases or transactions, enhancing, correcting, and personalizing the Services, connecting them to the Phiz Company Products you use. The information is also used to understand how people use our Services, assess and improve performance, conduct research, develop, and test new services and features, as well as troubleshoot issues. We also use your data to respond to your inquiries.
Security, Privacy, and Integrity: are fundamental aspects of our Services. We utilize the available information to verify accounts and activities, combat harmful behaviors, protect users from negative experiences and unsolicited messages (spam), promote protection, security, and integrity both within and outside our Services, and investigate suspicious activities or violations of our Terms and Policies.
Additionally, we employ this information to ensure that our Services are used legitimately and lawfully.
Communication About Services and Phiz Companies: We use the available information to contact you and inform you about our Services, as well as to share important updates regarding our terms, policies, and other relevant information. Additionally, we may send announcements about the Services offered by Phiz Companies.
No Third-Party Ad Banners Used: We do not display banners with third-party ads in our Services and will continue to adhere to this policy. Although we do not plan to use third-party ads, should this change, we will update this Privacy Policy to keep our users informed.
Business Interactions: We facilitate communication and interaction between you and third-party companies using our services, such as the business profiles and commercial features of Phiz, where you can view products and services, as well as place orders. Companies may send notifications about transactions, inquiries, shipments, product and service updates, and marketing. The marketing messages you receive may contain relevant offers. However, we take the protection against unwanted messages seriously, and you can manage your communications to respect your preferences. For example, you can opt out of receiving marketing messages or unsubscribe at any time.
Shared Information: You share information as you use our Services and communicate through them.
We share your information to operate, provide, enhance, understand, personalize, and market our Services, as well as to offer support for them.
Data Sent to Other People: When you use our Services, you provide your data, including messages, to the individuals with whom you choose to communicate.
Account Data: Your phone number, name, profile picture, status message, last seen information, and message notifications are available to anyone using our Services.
You can configure the Services to determine which data should be available to other users and companies with whom you communicate.
Data Sharing with Your Contacts and Others: Users and companies you communicate with may store or share your data, including your phone number or messages, with other individuals both within and outside our Services. You can use the "block" setting and feature in our Services to manage whom you communicate with and how your data is shared.
6. COMPANIES IN PHIZ
The companies you interact with using our Services may share information about their interactions with you. These companies are required to act in accordance with applicable laws when providing information to us.
It is important to remember that when conversing with a company on Phiz, several individuals working there may have access to the content shared by you. Additionally, some companies may work with third-party service providers (including Phiz companies) to manage their communications with customers. For example, a company may grant access to communications so that these third-party service providers can send, store, read, manage, or process them on behalf of the company. To understand how a company handles your data, including how it may share it with third parties or with Phiz, please refer to the privacy policy of that company or contact them directly.
External Service Providers: We collaborate with third-party service providers and other Phiz companies to operate, provide, enhance, understand, customize, and market our Services, as well as to provide support for them. These services include the distribution of our applications, provision of technical and physical infrastructure systems, advertising, and other services.
We also work with these third-party service providers to provide security support, operations and engineering, location data, maps and location services, payment processing, analysis of how people use our Services, marketing, connection with companies, research and studies, protection, security and integrity, and customer service. In certain circumstances, these companies may provide us with data about you. For example, app stores may send reports to help us diagnose and fix service issues.
Integration with Third-Party Services: You may use our services in conjunction with other third-party services and products from Phiz companies. If you choose to use our services alongside third-party services or products from Phiz companies, we may receive your data through them. For example, when you use the Phiz share button in a news service to share an article with Phiz contacts and groups or broadcast lists from our services.
Additionally, if you access our services through a promotion made by a mobile carrier or device provider, we may receive information from them. It is important to remember that the applicable terms and privacy policies of those services and products govern their use.
Enterprise Clients on Phiz: We offer specific services to businesses, such as metrics related to their use of our services.
Third-Party Service Providers: We work with third-party service providers and other Phiz Companies to operate, provide, enhance, understand, customize, and market our Services, as well as to offer support for them.
We require these companies to use your information on our behalf in accordance with our instructions and terms.
Third-Party Services: When you or someone else uses third-party services or other Products from Phiz companies integrated into our Services, those third-party services may receive information about what you or others share with them. The terms and privacy policies applicable to third-party services and products govern the use of those services and products.
Partnership with Other Phiz Companies: As part of the Phiz group, Phiz partners with other companies for information exchange (see this article). These companies may provide data to help us operate, enhance, customize, and market our services, as well as their offerings, including Phiz Company Products. Likewise, we may share our data with these companies to assist them in achieving these goals.
Activities conducted in this partnership include:
(i) Improving infrastructure and delivery systems;
(ii) Understanding how our services and those of Phiz Companies are used;
(iii) Promoting the protection, security, and integrity of Phiz Company Products, including protection systems and combating spam, threats, abuse, or violations;
(iv) Enhancing the services of Phiz Companies and user experience, such as suggestions for group or friend connections, resource and content personalization, assistance with purchases or transactions, and displaying relevant offers and ads for Phiz Company Products;
(v) Providing integrations that connect Phiz experiences with other Phiz Company Products, such as the ability to use your Facebook Pay account to make payments on Phiz or enabling conversations with friends in other Phiz Company Products, such as Portal, by linking your Phiz account.

7. ASSIGNMENT, CHANGE OF CONTROL, AND/OR TRANSFER
In the event that we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets, we will share your data related to the transaction with the successor entities or new owners in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
8. MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR DATA
If you wish to access or transfer your data, you can use our “Request Account Data” feature in the Phiz App, located under Settings > Account. We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, such as providing our services, complying with legal obligations, protecting our rights, properties, and users, and other legitimate reasons. The retention period varies based on each case, depending on the nature of the data, the purpose of collection and processing, as well as the relevant operational and legal retention needs. Additionally, if you wish to manage, change, limit, or delete your information, you can use the following features:
Resource Settings. Change the settings of the Resources to manage the availability of certain data to other users, manage contacts, groups, and broadcast lists, or use the “block” feature to manage your contacts.
Change of Number, Name, Photo, and Status. Update your mobile number using the number change feature in the app and transfer your account to the new number. You can change your profile name, photo, and status at any time.
Phiz Account Deletion. you can permanently delete your Phiz account at any time, revoking consent for the use of your data in accordance with applicable laws, by using the internal “Delete Account” feature. Deleting your account removes undelivered messages from our servers, as well as other data that is not necessary for operating our services.
However, if you delete the app from your device without using the “Delete my account” feature, your data will remain stored for a longer period. Please note that account deletion does not affect data related to groups created by you or data in the possession of other users, such as copies of sent messages.
9. LAW, RIGHTS, AND USER PROTECTION
We access, retain, and share your information, as described in the "Information We Collect" section of this Privacy Policy, when we deem it necessary to:
(i) Comply with applicable laws or regulations, legal processes, or government requests;
(ii) Enforce our Terms and other applicable policies, including investigations into possible violations;
(iii) Detect, investigate, prevent, or resolve fraud and other illegal activities or security or technical issues;
(iv) Protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, Phiz, other Phiz companies, or third parties, including preventing imminent death or bodily harm.
10. OUR OPERATIONS AROUND THE WORLD
To provide our global services, Phiz shares information both internally with Phiz Companies and externally with our partners and service providers, as well as with those you communicate with around the world, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Information may be stored and processed in various countries or territories, including those where our affiliates and business partners are located, or where our services are provided outside your region of residence for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Additionally, this information may be transferred to these locations. Phiz utilizes its global infrastructure. These transfers are necessary to provide our global services, as established in our Terms.
It is important to remember that the countries or territories to which your data is transferred may have different privacy laws and protections compared to your country or territory of origin.
11. CHANGES AND UPDATES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We may make changes or updates to our Privacy Policy. If we make relevant changes, we will notify you about those changes and update the "Last Modified" date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy regularly to stay updated on any changes.
12. GENERAL DATA PROTECTION LAW
You have the right to access, correct, transfer, delete, and confirm that we process your data. In certain circumstances, you also have the right to oppose and restrict the processing of your personal data.
As such, Users can access tools to correct, update, and delete their data and/or their Phiz account directly in the app.
We rely on your consent under . For example, when we collect and use data that you authorize us to receive through your device settings by enabling certain features and services, such as access to your GPS location, camera, or photos, so that we can provide these features and services.
When we process data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time. Please note that if the app is deleted only from your device, without using the "Delete my account" feature, your data may be stored with us for a longer time.
